Balboa Water Group Announces Compact Quiet-Flo Bath Blower with Built-in Controls
Expands Single Source Solution Product Offering
Tustin, Calif. -(January 19, 2010) Balboa Water Group (BWG), the recognized leader in whirlpool bath and portable spa products, today announced new models in its Compact Quiet-Flo Blower line up. The newest models includes integrated controls as part of the blower eliminating any external control boxes.
"This new blower is an expansion in our very popular Quiet-Flo Blower line that has been available for several years," said Bob Spillar, Vice President of Marketing. "With its electronic or air button controls built right into the blower, we have reduced installation time and and gave valuable real estate back to the OEM tub builder so they could easily add other value added features."
Balboa is expanding its portfolio of bath blowers with the addition of the new Compact Quiet-Flo built-in controls model. The line now spans from models with and without controls and optional heaters. All models have compact designs which allow for constrained space installations. Additionally, the Quiet-Flo's air intake is below the output so that the blower can be mounted against a wall without any concern for flow restrictions. The new model supports wave, pulse and variable speed modes and optional light to enhance the bathers experience. The blower will work with the new electronic round control button or one of many air buttons from Balboa. The blower comes with a standard NEMA plug. Optional unionized connections and check valves are available.
"We believe the this model of Compact Quiet-Flo Blower answers the OEMs needs for controlling a blower without consuming a lot of space under the tub," Spillar continued. Balboa Water Group Recognized for Contributions
APSP recently recognized Balboa Water Group (BWG) for its contributions and support of several key industry initiatives. Over the past year, BWG has contributed over $150,000 in equipment, personnel and other resources, at no cost to the industry or APSP.
Most recently, BWG has been involved in support of the California Energy Commission (CEC) and its Standards activities. The CEC donated many hours of engineering efforts, chamber testing and product evaluations. In support of the program, BWG created a state-of-the-art, highly advanced instrumentation package to aid in the testing of hot tub energy consumption which has gained recent exposure as a national concern. This is a system and protocol that did not previously exist with the CEC.
The new eFAST system (Final Analysis Spa Test) system is capable of running through a predefined series of steps; operating pumps, blowers and other ancillary products automatically. The system records current draw and other critical parameters while maintaining a database of all the operational values during the test. The CEC utilizes the system during energy tests, capturing consumption as well as other test parameters.
BWG continues to look for opportunities to support the industry by driving change and supporting progressive initiatives.
